Looking at eBird the Ground Parrot records nearest to Murwillumbah are Evans Head.  Birdata has several records near there in Broadwater NP.   I'd have thought a bit more than 90 minutes unless you drive VERY fast.

Hi all...
So I’m camping at Red Cliffs about an hour and a half Sth of Murwillumbah NSW and I just heard the Ground Parrot calling twice ...perfect habitat near Red Cliffs camping area...
Very distinctive call....I’ve seen and heard them calling often at Melaleuca when I visited a while ago in Tassie so the call is very distinctive and familiar...
Are they known to be here? I imagine so...
Anyone seen sightings here

Kirri 😊
