I went with Seastar Cruises in September 2017. They go to the cay for snorkelling. You have to ask the skipper to have someone take you around the cay in a small boat to view what birds are there. I’d check with them direct about the current arrangement.

Hi there...
Hoping to go to Michelmaus Cay off Cairns in the next week or two if possible...
- Just wondering is it worth it?
- Are there any good seabirds on the sand spit? Is it the right time of year?
- What?s the best way to get there/cheapest tour option as we don?t have our own boat??
