Australian Raven in Melbourne

Along the Otway Coast and South Gippsland on and near the Prom,  we get the Forest Raven, otherwise a Tasmanian species.  Short tail and very deep growling or rattling voice.

They go well south of Melbourne. They like the bigger forests, Little Raven more open farmland. They occur at places like Phillip Island & Walkerville & much of Gippsland and alpine areas. Hi all, Bill here again

On the weekend I stayed at Wonga Park on a scout camp. Both mornings there
was a distinct and loud Australian Raven calling in the area. I'm not
familiar with many sightings of Aussie Ravens south of (maybe) Bendigo.

Is this unusual? How often do they come this far south?
