Natalie and I have just returned from an 18 day wildlife tour of Nepal.

The trip was organised by Travel Nepal and Shankar Tiwari was our guide. Shankar spent every day with us and is a peerless bird guide, consummate host and great companion. The trip was tailored to meet our requirements. We spent 3 nights at each of Suklaphanta, Bardia and Chitwan NPs, 1 night in Lumbini and 2 nights at Pokhara. We initially flew to Suklaphanta then drove east to each of our destinations.

We identified 296 bird species (at least 200 not previously identified by us); 20 mammal species and 6 reptilian.

We could not think of a better way to see Nepalese wildlife and Nepal and  would recommend Travel Nepal to anyone wishing to enjoy a birding trip in Nepal.

Shankar Tiwari also does tours to India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Andamans.
