Iceland bird guide

When I was there last year I kept seeing a double-sided poster of Icelandic 
birds which covered the birds that  you would expect to see. It took me to the 
end of the trip to discover that it could be purchased at petrol stations for 
around $A20. It was folded like a map. The guide books were at least $50. 

My most magical moment birdwatching in iceland, apart from seeing puffins, was 
on the final evening, along the south coast where in one hour I managed to see 
a pair of Rock Ptarmigans mating, a Blacktailed Godwit in breeding plumage, a 
whimbrel, a Golden Plover looking very golden.
