Good update thanks.

I wrote something recently on FB, asking WHY Currawongs regurgitate their
seed pellets into water, i.e. our birdbath??? As indeed you've noticed,
Michael. Do they need water for this execution, and if so, still, why muddy
your bath/drinking water?

Anyone really know?
Cheers

Hi All
I counted more than 50 Cattle Egrets in Mulgoa Valley yesterday,
briefly in a single flock, but few Cattle. Frosty Mornings.

First Rufous Whistler calling, also Cuckoos , a Spotted Pardalote.
Magpie groups have broken up and a Raven seen carrying nesting twigs. At
least a dozen Pied Currawongs messing up the yard, and various water
containers, with White Cedar berries. Five Choughs under the Chinese Elms
along the drive.

Not a single House Sparrow since the Horse people next door and
their horses departed about four years ago, common before then.

Bar-shouldered Dove now our commonest garden bird, followed by Red-
whiskered Bul-buls, but Superb Blue Wrens ever present.

Aus Grebes back on the dam.

                 Many others

                        Michael
