Hi All,
Mike's comments are a little harsh. At least Alex's directions are clear and
unambiguous. His Swift sighting location can only be in one place. The
Newell Highway ends at Goondiwindi, so 75 km before must be to the South.
Furthermore, Google Maps can be consulted to locate the spot 5 km to the
south of Kiga Bore Rest Area.
Directions involving North, South, East or West can be fraught - many people
just don't know which is North or South. I once spent nearly 2 hours
tramping through reeds at Pitt Town Lagoon in an unsuccessful search for a
bittern, because a well-intentioned birder said North when he should have
said West.
Best Wishes to both Mike and to Alex.

Dear BA- readers & Alex
IS before Goondiwindi N,E, S, or W l of Goondiwindi. THE more accurate ones
data the more useful those data are to others. I would like to know for my
work on Swifts - please.
Many thanks to all those who send in accurate records.
Happy birding
