Hi Andrew,

Sorry for the lateness of this reply. It’s 3 weeks since I’ve been to the
valley so I don’t have the most recent gen, but I spent plenty of time there
during spring and Plum-heads are having a good season after all the rain in
early spring. For starters try near the Capertee River bridge at the Glen David
Rd/Glen Alice Rd junction; at Glen Alice between the bridge and the community
hall; and at Genowlan Road bridge. These are sites 7, 10 and 11 on the bird
sites leaflet. By now they should have bred up and be anywhere in the valley so
look closely at any finch flocks, as they can be mixed with Double-bars and
other species. Pay special attention to areas with water and reeds.

Hope you have a good visit.

Cheers,

Carol
