Yes, and I distinctly remember Kestrels nesting in elm tree hollows in the
UK when I was a kid. It was a bit of a climb but I got an egg.

The species account in HANZAB includes (under Food; Behaviour):

can give you a full answer. I have seen Nankeen Kestrels in Broome use a
