My daughter rang at 8.30 this morning to ask me about Swifts. She had just been at Morgan's Lookout where she had seen "thousands of birds like huge swallows zooming and zipping" in the air above the Lookout. She mentioned that they had white on throats and vents. She is observant but not a bird-watcher, but thought this was sufficiently interesting to tell me. I pass it on for what it's worth.
