Biggest flood for many years going down the Lachlan River filling up the
vast lignum swamps along the way.

Lachlan only has a flood this big every 25 to 30 years and it will see
massive breeding in the swamps by most water fowl especially the Glossy Ibis
and the Freckled Duck.

The biggest natural lake in N.S.W Lake Cowal at West Wyalong 21 km long
and over 9 km wide covering 13,000 hectares is over flowing and is an
important breeding area

for the Freckled Duck also.

Most rivers in the North Flooding with floods moving in from Qld spreading
across the N S W Flood Plains.

For the fishing enthusiast there are very big Yellow Belly being caught in
the Edwards River many around the 8 kg to 10 kg, not seen this big for many
years.
