Hi Falk,
I spent a few weeks on Elcho Island in late 2004, early 2005 working for a
school on the northern end of the island.
I got some very good birds while there; Chestnut Rail, frigatebirds, waders
etc. The habitats were tropical schlerophyll and vine scrub, from memory.
I presume you have permits to be there, or are at least work there rather
than just planning a visit.
