Just to add my tuppence-worth, there are people in Australia currently
involved in bird 'voice - recognition' (Jessie Capadonna at QUT, for one)
but I won't try and explain how or what she is doing, (I'd better leave
that to her ;))
Currently I'm working with Vision Australia to see if I can encourage their
members to get involved with research into "Birding by Ear", it's a slow -
starter but I would love to hear if there is any interest in the B-A
community,
I want to start doing 'Bird-Walks' using hearing and if anyone wants to
lend a hand, I would be very grateful.
Please contact me on the above email.
Regards,
Tom
