Tim et al,
My apologies I did not realise John was born in the US and I did not read the
comments. I get the blog post when it is published and before any comments are
added.

In no way am I trying to belittle John’s effort, rather I was suggesting why
others (American birders) may see fit to question his ’pedigree’. I made the
assumption that having smashed the Oz record, John was taking on the next big
challenge. Anyone who takes on a Big Year challenge is superhuman in my book.

Regards
Alastair

Alastair,

It's was the queries of his character I was referring to rather than the
sightings.

Each to their own. What's for sure is it set to be an amazing BIG year!

All the best

Tim
