On the ABC news today, stated as "Eastern Spinebill Bird." I have not seen
it, probably is a caricature.

Interesting design for the new Australian $5 banknote - two 'native' birds
are featured both of which appear to be new to science as they do not
resemble any known native species!

How could a design get to this stage with such obvious mistakes?

The banknote can be seen at 'The Guardian' on line.
