Thanks John – I was going to do the same when I got home this evening, having
thought about this myself as I was posting (about the duck) to FB earlier
today. I haven’t seen any posts either way today on the bird(8 April), but it
seemed quite content when I was there yesterday.
There is some debate on the FB pages as to whether it the same bird that was at
Lake Wollumboola in January – no conclusion has been drawn on that as far as I
can tell. I gather it should have been through a moult between then and now,
so if it was the same bird, it would look a bit different anyway with some
fresh feathers.
Cheers

Hi all,
It doesn’t seem to have made it across from the Facebook Pages to this forum
yet, that the Paradise Shelduck has turned up again. It’s been seen by a
number of observers (not me, as yet :( ) over the last few days at Bushell’s
lagoon, near Windsor. Just thought those not on FB would like to know.
If it sticks around, I may be able to try for it next week.
Cheers,
John Tongue,
Devonport, Tas.
