Re: Goshawks and prey, a friend lost some of her Eiserbrown hens to a
pair of Brown Goshawks that had chicks nearby, and those hens are pretty
heavy.
I once saw one carrying a Common Bronzewing up a tree, with a bit of
difficulty but it wasn't letting go and after flying into a low fork
with the pigeon, then hopped up branch by branch with it firmly held in
bill and claws.
