BirdLife Australia has received a brief submission including one very pixilated photo from a ranger on the Coburg Peninsula NT claiming a Black-headed Gull seen on 20 March 2016 on Sandy Island No. 2. To me, the bird looks like an adult Great Black-headed = Pallas's Gull in winter plumage! If anyone has access to that area a full description and better photographs are required. Also, if anyone knows how to get to that area, please advise.
