I was on several of the islands about 20 years ago. I think Kauai is the
prettiest and birdiest of the main islands. The Waimea Canyon area is
probably still the best place for endemics, and Kaileua point is a good
place for seabirds such as Albatross, Tropicbirds, Frigatebirds and
shearwaters. The Albatross may still be nesting in June or very early July.
