When my partner hears the call, he often says its the Three Stooges bird.
Whoop, whoop, whoop.......

Knowing that there are some with poetic inclinations within the
Birding-Aus subscriber base, I wonder if anyone has a suggestion
for the following:

An author friend has asked for some advice as to how to describe
the "glugging water sound" of the Pheasant Coucal in a less prosaic
way (and without resorting to a plethora of words).

Many thanks

Phillip
