Date: Tuesday, October 6, 2015
Location: Lobethal Country Park lower pond.
Blue-billed Duck (Oxyura australis) (1) Six ducks which more interested in
social activity with each other than feeding and they would occasionally
disappear in the hollow green tubular reeds (I wish I was a botanist AND an
ornithologist at times?) and then re-appear. I have visited this lake many
times over the years but I think this is my first sighting of this species?
Please note that on re-reading my submission, it may be assumed that I'd never
seen this species however this is only the case for the Country Park.
