Hi all
Wildlife Tourism Australia, a small, operator-focussed association, is
holding their 3rd Australian Wildlife Tourism Conference in Geelong 29
Sept to 2 Oct, 2015. Though the association is small, the conference
is looking like being quite big - with experienced and new wildlife and
bird tour operators from all over Australia attending (including four
of the biggest wildlife tourism companies in Australia), as well as
academics from Australia, the US, Indonesia, Kenya, Japan and The
Philippines and representatives from Tourism Victoria, Parks Victoria,
Phillip Island Nature Parks and Zoos Victoria. Speakers include the
Threatened Species Commissioner Gregory Andrews, Senator Janet Rice,
and a welcome from the State Minister for Tourism, the Hon John Eren
MP.
If you are involved in birding or wildlife tourism, or would like to
be, this is a very reasonably-priced way to meet lots of key players
and get great advice. We attended the Darwin conference two years ago,
and were thrilled with the results - we made new friends all over
Australia and around the world, and many of those friends have helped
our business grow (and receive a big international award!).
Full registration (members): 3 full days just $380 includes welcome
function, all lunches, morning and afternoon teas.
1 day registration (members): $180
