Greetings,
Bird of highest note: a probable Black-breasted Buzzard seen west of Walkamin
this late morning. I was driving a bus and could not stop. Large raptor with
upswept wings seen in silhouette against bright cloud so no colour detail/

Black Falcon in paddock where the Banded Lapwing was, opposite southern end of
Mark’s Lane; seen late morning.

Red-backed Kingfisher on the Kennedy Highway just out of Atherton, southern
side, this early morning not there at midday.

Blue-winged Kookaburra on street light near strawberry farm, Marks Lane,
Gillies H’way intersection, seen yesterday early afternoon.

Two Freckled duck along with the thousand of Plumed W-duck, hundreds of Magpie
Geese, a dozen plus each Grey Teal and Pacific Blacks and a few Hardheads and
Pink-ears at Hasties Swamp.

There are the best numbers of Brown Falcons for some time, including some very
light birds.
REgards,
Alan
