There has been some confusion surrounding this matter.
John Young had confirmed reports that a feral cat was responsibility
for killing a Night Parrot in the small population of this critically
endangered species that he discovered in south-west Queensland.
John's research colleague on the property where the parrots occur, Dr
Steve Murphy, has sought to clarify this. Steve says that in fact
there is no evidence that a cat killed a Night Parrot.
People are invited to have a look at what Steve says - he also makes
important points about other issues surrounding the Night Parrot - and
make up their own minds:

Im confused...it has been confirmed as being killed by a cat by John
as well as being confirmed that they have no idea what happened to it
and it may not be dead by Steve? Cheers Angus
