I saw a notice in the newsletter the other day that Sue Romane had managed to idenitfy 205 birds in the Bega Valley Shire last year. I keep coming back to that number in my head as it's so impressive. it must have taken a lot of effort and skill to do so well down here. Sue, I hope that you had a great time doing it and find even more in 2015! P.S. I still think that the Pitta should count for extra points ;-) P.P.S. This morning's excitment was a bunch of Red-browed Finches leaping about in the grass. So gorgeous. "Common but never ordinary", as they say.
