I also meant to comment on the flatline comment. Temperatures flatlined only if 
you look at them on an annual basis, which no sensible scientist would do. When 
looked at in the usual five or ten year scales, the continued increase is quite 
evident. It is no different from taking an extraordinarily hot day in spring 
and saying that weather flatlined through summer.
