Sat 6 Dec Long-tailed Jaeger (2), White-headed Petrel (4), Sooty
Shearwater (80+) Eaglehawk Neck Pelagic Trip
Two Long-tailed Jaegers (1 dark, 1 light) appeared briefly, as did 4
White-headed Petrels. At least 80 Sooty Shearwaters were encountered
during the day - a very high count for Eaglehawk - including a raft of
around 70 birds. Beyond the shelf, they were far more common than
Short-tailed Shearwaters and there were always a few around the boat.
