   Published sightings for the week ending 7 Dec 2014.

   Sun 7 Dec Red-backed Buttonquail Golds Scrub Lane, Samsonvale
   2 birds in grassland -also a few great-crested grebes.

   Fork-tailed Swift Bunya State Forest- Albany Creek
   100s going south this afternoon around 3pm - mostly very high with some
   c5 lower mixed with c40 White-throated Needletails

   20-30 birds flew north at 0920 with Needletails, another 2 were seen
   high up at 1110. Also 300+ Needletails during morning, all flying
   north.

   Unusually high numbers (60+)

   Black Petrel Sunshine Coast Pelagic
   1 bird off continental shelf: first record for the Sunshine Coast

   Black-necked Stork Buckley's Hole Lagoon, Bribie Island
   Male bird seen at Buckley's Hole from bird hide. Feeding at southern
   end of water.

   Peregrine Falcon Helensvale Gold Coast
   Peregrine Falcon feeding fledgling in a tree on the Eastern side of the
   railway line at the Helensvale Railway Station this morning Northern
   end of the vacant land near Brisbane Rd.

   Fri 5 Dec Pectoral Sandpiper Dowse Lagoon, Sandgate
   Pectoral still here this morning. It is still wary, but, seemed more
   relaxed. Probably because it was hanging around with 8 Sharp-tailed
   Sandpipers. Didn't see the Wood Sandpiper, but, a bloke I met leaving
   when I arrived said they were both here this morning. Photo has been
   cropped a little and I was using the 100x Digital on the Canon SX50HS

   Tue 2 Dec Little Bronze-Cuckoo and Russet-tailed Thrush Jones Rd Fire
   Trail, Brookfield
   Calling and trilling in dry rainforest. Also came across two separate
   pairs of Russet-tailed Thrushes in two separate gullies near Bielby Rd,
   Chapel Hill.

   Mon 1 Dec Pectoral Sandpiper and Wood Sandpiper. Dowse Lagoon, Sandgate
   Both still present though took a while to find; 'scope required. Pec
   Sand viewed from Southerden viewing platform; Wood Sand from Keogh
   Street viewing platform or corner of Keogh and Southerden Roads. Full

   Asian Dowitcher Toorbul--high tide roost
   Long staying Asian Dowitcher still present at high tide roost this
   morning. Also Terek Sandpiper.

   Sat 29 Nov Black-necked Stork 288 Rosewood-Laidley Rd, Lanefield
   -27.643771 152.566566 Beside a small snaking dam approx. 100m south of
   the main road. Only a short stop as it was gone by Monday morning.
