Hi to Birding-aus readers,Public comment on the new OBP National Recovery Plan
closes on Friday, 7 November at 5pm. I have put down some thoughts -
particularly about funding - in this blog post. Please take 5-10 minutes to
read it and make a submission. It is vital that the next phase of recovery is
adequately funded, or we may not only have wasted the money we've already spent
on it, but we may very well lose it in the wild. There are indications of
similar summer returns as last year and there is going to be another release of
captive-bred birds this month. I, for one, hold onto some scraps of hope for
these beleaguered birds. Many thanks.Latest news: Save the Orange-bellied Parrot
