I am intrigued by the Birdline reference to "Large crow". From when we
lived in Tanzania (where these birds are a disaster for local species) I
had thought they were quite small (for corvids). Stevenson and Fanshawe
give the length of House Crow as 33cm (or 13") while Pizzey and Knight
state 48-52cm for both Little Raven and Australian Raven. (The comparison
is similar to that between Jackdaws and Carrion Crows in Europe.)
Hopefully it has disappeared through the activities of an appropriately
armed wildlife person.
