Hi all, I was down at the WTP (Werribee Vic) yesterday and couldn't find any Double-banded Plover. They were there a month or so ago but has anyone seen any there in the last week or so? Has anyone seen any close to Melbourne - 50 km +/-? It was an interesting day though, as always, with some birds in big flocks. On the lagoon behind the spit there was a mixed flock of over 60 spoonbills and in the "T" section there were more than 200 Curlew Sandpipers in non-breeding plumage. Out on 29 mile Rd a flock of over 40 Blue-winged Parrots flew across the road. There were even 4 Bar-tailed Godwits in the Western Lagoon area. cheers Jenny _______________________________________________ Birding-Aus mailing list To change settings or unsubscribe visit: http://birding-aus.org/mailman/listinfo/birding-aus_birding-aus.org |
