Hi Frank

Just a niggle - although Greater Gliders look big, they are all fluff! I would think if you are talking about adult possums, taking a Brushtail would be a much more difficult and dangerous task for a Powerful Owl than taking a Greater Glider or Ringtail.

Powerful Owls can take Greater Gliders, so they would definitely be able to take a possum. I have seen them roosting near Melbourne with half a glider (presumably ready to take to the female at dusk). Of course, it may not be a bird ....
