hi Frank,
I think if u are staying at those 2 locales then u will be on the money for a 
lurida  Boobook. as long as u are in continuous rainforest on the uplands & u 
see or hear a Boobook then it's almost certainly going to be one of these...
Mt Lewis near Kingf Park is very good for them, as is the crater lakes area - 
also worth looking in would be Mt Hypapipamee/Longlands Gap area; Danbulla 
Forest Drive in rainforest areas; & the very end of Davies Creek Rd...there's 
also some good spots for them further south too inland from Innisfail & 
Ingham...
