I was recently at the Lambert Centre in Central Australia where I observed a pair of what I thought were Thornbills. They were foraging on the ground with occasional short flights into the lower branches of bushes. I didn't notice any streaks, flecks or mottles and the rump seemed to be the same colour as the wings and back. However, one bird had a dull reddish-brown forehead. Any suggestions?
