Birdline Western Australia

Published sightings for the week ending 11 May 2014.

Sat 10 May Carnaby's Black Cockatoo Balcatta
A NSW bird friend reported a major flock of more than 100 WTBC passing over the house in Wesley St today. He has photos with more than 40 in many shots. I will post when I get access to the pix. He is a black cockatoo breeder.
Gilbert Bunn reported to Ken Glasson

Mon 5 May Carnaby's Black-Cockatoo Armidale, Perth
After spending the weekend in Albany, I stumbled across a large flock of Carnaby's black Cockatoos on the way back to the airport today. It was amazing to see 30+ birds all feeding on the one small pine on Railway Ave opposite the track in Armidale. There was one bird ocstracised by the others in a gum nearby and I am sure it was a single Baudin's confirmed by the close photos I took.
