In my experience Wedge-tailed Eagles are quick to depart when I get close so I
was pleasantly surprised this morning as the dawn appeared when one remained
where it was when I drove up to it… and stayed there. And when I returned later
it again didn't fly off. Whenever I get the opportunity I just can't stop
photographing Wedgies and to get close is a moment to cherish.

“I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have
been only like a boy on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then
finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great
ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.” Sir Isaac Newton
