Hi John & Wendy,
I'm not sure about exactly where in Bunyip SP is best, but I've always had them 
easily in the Brisbane Ranges NP, about the same distance away from Melb as 
Bunyip, but in opposite direction.
The site I always saw them here was at Anakie Gorge - even along the rd into 
the carpark there was great for them but I was always there very early in the 
morning...
Sorry I can't help with Bunyip.
