I think the pricing is reasonable considering what the program offers.

A few years ago I purchased Birds of Tropical Asia 3 ( http://www.birdsounds.nl/index.php?pg=productoverviewitem&id=254 ) which is a software program  for windows. It is a simple program which provides calls of 900+ species, and photos of almost 500 species from the region, along with the ability to sort by location and export the files. It is currently priced at €79.99 euros (a bit more than what I paid back then) but the point is it's a niche product and I'd expect it to be priced accordingly. In this case the product represents a unique collection of media resulting from years of field work by the author and others.

In the case of the PKBA Digital Edition, we are talking about a superior program in many ways to the aforementioned, with what must be somewhere between 700-800 species calls available at present, photos for most of the 900+ species, outstanding illustrations by Frank Knight, as well as all the field guide data, identification and similar species modules, and powerful listing tools for personal and location lists.

For me, the PKBA Digital Edition is in a class of it's own and definitely worth the $69.95.
