Today there were at least twenty WTNT over Peeramon Hill, south of Lake Eacham this afternoon. Mike, I had a single one over Lake Barrine this morning too and a single one two days ago. I also forgot to send you a message that on the day Phil Gregory saw the WTNT over the Curtain Fig we saw 8 over Yungaburra, perhaps the same birds as it was only half an hour later.

There are now 19 Pacific Golden Plovers at Harper Avenue.

Only saw five Blue-faced Parrot-Finches today. They were very shy and not all the group saw them.

Alan

Greetings,
A Black Falcon in tail & wing molt was seen over the southern end of Marks Lane, Atherton this morning. Another bird (or perhaps event he same one as it was also in tail molt) seen early afternoon over fields west of Kaban Road.

Marsh Sandpipers x8 at Harper Avenue, Tinaburra along with 7 Pacific Golden Plovers, two dozen Red-necked Stints and three dozen Sharp-tailed Sandpipers. Whiskered & Caspian Terns there too. I could not find the previously sighted 2 Greenshank this morning. Interestingly all the plovers and Sharpies are first year birds.

At Hasties Swamp there are at least 13 Freckled Duck, a couple of Lathams Snipe, 1 Yellow-billed Spoonbill and 1 Marsh Sandpiper. Sharpies here are a mix of ages.

A single Dusky Woodswallow remains at the northern end of McKeown Road, west of Yungaburra.

At least ten Blue-faced Parrot-Finches along Kenny Road Millaa Millaa.

Regards,
Alan
