Fri 1 Nov Varied Sittella Kingfisher Park Birdwatchers Lodge (Morning Walk)
Varied Sittella (6) Foraging in vegetation alongside Rex Highway between Geraghty Park and McDougall Road, 1st for morning walk. Uncommon in this area.

Wed 30 Oct Grey Falcon Maryfarms
Hunting along and close to Butchers Creek. The Falcon appeared whilst I was being harassed by many Blue-faced Honeyeater. (Moderator Note:- Have spoken to observer who is familiar with species from seeing them in northern WA whilst there for 3 years. Looked for bird on the 31st with out success).

Tue 29 Oct Rufous Owl Brolga Park, Kewarra Beach
At 11.45pm last night heard call woo hoo went outside with torch and binoculars, found owl sitting up in a Melaleuca.

Mon 28 Oct White-winged Black Tern Lake Fred Tritton, Richmond, Qld
A small number of white-winged black terns at varying stages of transition to breeding plumage were working the recreational Lake Fred Tritton at the eastern approach to Richmond. They were there also on the 22nd. (Moderator's Note; This sighting is at least 300km east and further inland of the next nearest reported sightings near Mount Isa)
