Sun 27 Oct	Pectoral Sandpiper, Wood Sandpiper, Black-tailed Native Hen Nathan Road Wetlands Reserve, Kippa Ring Thanks to a tip off from Gavin Goodyear - I checked out this excellent wetland. At least 1, possibly 2 Pectoral Sandpipers (distant photo attached (striking breast band, clear yellow base to the bill etc.) but Gavin has some shots down to 10m; there were 2 Pecs here yesterday showing well). Also 1 Wood Sandpiper along the back vegetation 10+ Marsh Sands, 8 Latham's Snipe, c40 Red-necked Avocets + a large range of commoner species. Rob Morris

	Regent Honeyeater Cove Road Stanmore The Regent Honeyeater cycled back 4 times to the same flowering gum tree from 3pm to 5pm at irregular intervals but gave 2 long sitings which pleased the photographers especially Ross & Thea Monks
	Regent Honeyeater Cove Rd Stanmore the bird [finally] showed well visiting a flowering shrub on the large dam side of the road. It was the second time the bird was seen visiting the shrub that morning. There was a period of an hour or two between visits. Ken Cross
	Pink-eared Duck, Hoary-headed Grebe Priors Pocket, Moggill Pink-eared Duck (3) Hoary-headed Grebe (3) 1 bird in full breeding plumage. These birds have been hanging around for a while but up until now none have been in breeding plumage. I-phone photo through scope at farm dam on S-Bend. Adrian Brooks
Sat 26 Oct	Dusky Honeyeater, Tawny Grassbird Booloumba Site 1, Conondale Range NP Dusky Honeyeater, Tawny Grassbird. Both seen well and photographed. Pete Taylor
Sat 26 Oct	Regent Honeyeater Cove Road Stanmore Regent Honeyeater (1) The previously reported bird was located in eucalypts at the top of the hill near 650. Seen mimicking the call of a Little Friarbird. Later flew of down the road, and was unable to be relocated. Also 1 Latham's Snipe in a small dam, Glossy Ibis and 1 Yellow-billed Spoonbill. 	Marsh Sandpiper, Bar-tailed Godwit, Great Knot, Red Knot, Sharp-tailed Sandpiper Toorbul Artificial Roost Amongst 1600 shorebirds of 15 species there were Marsh Sandpiper (8), Bar-tailed Godwit (700) [green flags: AML, ARW, ASL, AVN, AVZ; yellow flag: HX; colour-coded individual: three yellow bands on one leg], Great Knot (50) [green flag: BAP], Red Knot (30) [colour-coded individual: L 'copper', R black over white flags], Sharp-tailed Sandpiper (90) [green flag: ABD]. 	Short-tailed Shearwater Bribie Island, Woorim On a small 50 m beach sector: 20 beach-washed Short-tailed Shearwaters. Nikolas Haass & Raja Stephenson
	Regent Honeyeater Cove Rd., Stanmore Following Roger J.'s report of 24/10, a single Regent H/E was located at 650 Cove Rd Stanmore at 11.45 today, in dull and windy conditions. Bird has found flowering euc. and is feeding in crown of tree, regularly chased out by Noisy Miners, but soon returns. Feeding tree is large euc. on left-hand side of entrance to 650. Thu 24 Oct	Barking Owl; Fairy Gerygone; Beach Stone-curlew Inskip Point A brief search of Inskip Point for BBBQ yesterday morning was unsuccessful, though there were some fresh platelets about. However, a friendly goanna did spook a Barking Owl, making it call and reveal itself (in a largish fig tree near a brush turkey mound towards the end of the point). Other nice birds included Fairy Gerygone, Beach Stone-curlew, and a pair of Varied Trillers. Elliot Leach; Alice Sweeney
	Regent Honeyeater Cove Road, Stanmore A Regent Honeyeater associating closely with a Little Friarbird, in (non-flowering) eucalypts and other small trees along road and in paddock, in vicinity of 665 and 689 Cove Road, Stanmore (NNE of Woodford). 	Bush Stone-curlew (Bush Thick-knee) Translational Research Institute, Dutton Park Train Station, Woolloongabba Update from #201116: Both adults with both chicks (now likely two weeks post-hatching) still in the area. Nikolas Haass
Wed 23 Oct	Speckled Warbler Cania Gorge (Caravan and Tourist Park) Seen at close range on a cleared track and bathing in a small pool with Brown Thornbill & White-browed Scrub Wren. Ivor Preston
	Tawny Frogmouth Dowse Lagoon, Sandgate An adult pair with two young were sighted as they roosted in this Jacaranda tree. In addition three Cotton Pygmy-goose, Glossy Ibis, Wandering Whistling-Duck and Chestnut Teal were sighted on the lagoon. Vince Bugeja

Tue 22 Oct	Blue-billed Duck Coombabah Lake, Gold Coast A single male is still there - has been hanging around for the last few months. Very difficult to see this bird as it's very secretive. Terry Dillon
Sun 20 Oct	Whiskered Tern Mudgereebah Creek, Robina. A single bird patrolling the creek. Slightly larger than a Little Tern with characteristic dark grey patch on belly. Terry Dillon
	White-faced Storm-Petrel Southport Pelagic In addition to Rob's posts regarding this excellent Southport Pelagic, Scott Baker and I also saw a White-faced Storm-Petrel. Unfortunately, no record photos taken. Scott Baker & Nikolas Haass on board the Southport Pelagic organised by Paul Walbridge
Sat 19 Oct	Australian Painted Snipe Wharf Road, Eagleby A bird with spotted wings hiding in a small clump of herbage in a broad open area on mostly-dry bed of a Melaleuca swamp. Grainy photo obtained. Roger Jaensch
	Long-toed Stint Toorbul Artificial Roost Birded with Helen Page and Julie Sarna Long-toed Stint (1) Small bird same size as Red-necked Stints with obvious yellow legs, and with some breeding plumage. Ruled out Temmincks Stint and Least Sandpiper. Rufous aspects to head and yellow at the base of the bill, plus looking like small Sharp-tailed Sandpiper used in determining species. Dezmond Wells
	Satin Flycatcher Anstead Bushland Reserve Male Satin Flycatcher was the highlight, but others included a Peregrine and a female White-winged Triller Satin Flycatcher (1) A male captured on video (Moderators note: Video checked by moderator and flycatcher expert, all agree - a good find - late arrival) Rod Gardner
