Werner and I visited the start of the Blue Gum Swamp track briefly this morning just to check it out for a planned walk later in the week. There are no barriers to walking down to the swamp. The area to the north of the car park is severely burned but we were told by a cyclist, who was just returning from a circuit ride that the damage only extends about half a kilometre out on the Shaw's ridge track.
