Hi Russ & All, Birding-Aus deserves a bit of self-promotion, it's a great community, and an excellent source of information. As a perennial learner, I appreciate the useful information often shared by some members, it helps support and cultivates interest in birds & our environment, in contrast to some of the competitive attributes other birders have. Thank you. Today's best bird sighting here has been an Australasian Grebe, on land! I've only ever seen a Tachybaptus Grebe out of the water once before, and they resemble a small Penguin. It certainly made me look twice!
