G'day all,

Yesterday I managed to see two Australian Crakes at the Winya Road Dams
behind Kilcoy Abbatoirs. They were on the northernmost dam with one along
the southern edge and one along the western edge. This site is viewable
from the roadside only and a scope would be handy but not neccessary. This
species would appear to uncommon in this region with only a handful of
birds being reported in the last couple of years although I'm sure more are
observed than reported.

There are still some other good birds present such as Freckled Duck and
Black-tailed Native-hen.

Cheers
Gavin
