Flock Brozewing
Wabma Kadarbu Mound Springs turnoff, Oodnadatta Track
Spotted 8 or 9 flock bronzewings at a small wet claypan on the north side of the Oodnadatta Track, about 500 metres or so east of the turnoff to the mound springs. Flew in and landed at around 1720 hours, then spooked, and took off flying west. Two more came in and drank about 5 minutes later, giving really good views from about 20 metres away. All very nervous. Really good looks of this bird at last! The last two took off and flew fast and direct toward the Mound Springs.
