Sun 14 Jul Musk Lorikeet, Swift Parrot Athlon Drive Torrens
2 Musked Lorikeets and 1 Swift Parrot seen feeding in the Box Gums between 8am and 10am.

Sat 13 Jul Lewin's Rail Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve
Lewin's Rail (1) Briefly seen twice in the sanctuary! Only 5-10 seconds each time but very nice views. Notes: smaller and darker than a buff-banded rail, no white eye-brow and long beak. Chestnut cap and nape. Olive-grey breast clearly contrasting with barred flanks (black & white).

Thu 11 Jul Musk Lorikeet, Scaly-breasted Lorikeet, Rainbow Lorikeet Athllon Drive, Torrens
2 Musk, 2 Scaly-breasted and at least 18 Rainbow Lorikeets were feeding throughout the day in a mixed planting of box trees, alongside Athllon Drive in Torrens. They particularly favored the White Boxes (E alba) behind and north of the bus stop near the Beasley Street/Athllon Drive Crossroads.

Mon 8 Jul Scaly-breasted Lorikeet Mawson, ACT
2 Scaly-breasted Lorikeets and 2 Rainbow Lorikeets flew over Mawson #2 Oval this morning at about 10:30. There are flowering Red Ironbark in the vicinity.
