Nice birds seen during a visit to the Warrumbungles included White-browed Babbler, Spotted Bowerbird, Hooded Robin, Red-capped Robin and Peregrine Falcons divebombing Wedge-tailed Eagles, with Black Falcon seen on the way. I was surprised by the totality of the devastation caused by the January bushfire which ravaged the park, and disappointed by how little the vegetation appeared to have regenerated.
