Sun 19 May Budgerigar Ross River Wetlands. Townsville, Queensland
Budgerigar Multiple flocks (both large 600+, & small) seen

Sat 18 May Northern Shoveler Western Treatment Plant, Werribee, Victoria
Northern Shoveler male seen from Paradise road, south side closest to Gate 6
Simon Starr

Sun 5 May Westland Petrel (3), Soft-plumaged Petrel (1) Eaglehawk Pelagic, Tasmania
Highlights from today's pelagic: three Westland Petrels that joined the boat at our first stop and stayed most of the day, often sitting together in the slick, and a Soft-plumaged Petrel that made several close passes.

Wed 1 May Letter-winged Kite Moomba, North East South Australia, South Australia
Estimated 40-45 birds, positively counted 39 birds perched, but there were a couple of birds aerial at the time of count. Birds are unfortunately located in an area with strictly no access to the public

Tue 30 Apr Banded Stilt - Cladorhynchus leucocephalus Moorina Beach - Cape Queen Elizabeth walk, Bruny Island, Tasmania
Group of seven feeding at water's edge at northern end of beach. Photo not so clear as zoomed in on iphone. First sighting for both us of so very exciting. [Ed note: as many as 9 have been seen feeding near The Neck. Thanks Rob Hamilton. TD]
