Hi everyone, I have been an archive lurker for a while but have finally found an issue important enough post. The Tasmanian state government and Forestry Tasmania are proposing to restart logging on Bruny Island , yes I said Bruny Island and find it hard to believe myself. This will be on the southern part of the island and will undoubtedly impact of Swift parrot breeding sites. An organisation known as Spirit of Bruny has started a petition, opposing this logging, to be sent to Minister Bryan Green and the chairman of Forestry Tasmania. The full details and link to the petition can be found on their website at www.spiritofbruny.org .
