Hi all spent a total of just under 5 hours doing seawatch at fort drive today only really the first hour was really exciting species and numbers are below. also i spotted a shearwater/petrel that i couldnt identify it had mostly white underwing, evenly brown above and a darker head almost black continuing down under the beak to the breast. Masked Booby - 1 White-necked Petrel - 2 Lesser Frigatebird - 2 possible 3rd Buller's Shearwater - 1 possible 2nd Great Shearwater - 1 Streaked Shearwater - 2 Pomarine Jaeger - 4 Sooty Tern - 8 Common Tern - 30+ Short-tailed Shearwater - 100+ Wedge-tailed Shearwater - 2000+ fluttering type shearwater - 10+ Sooty Oystercatcher - 26 Thanks Robert McDonald =============================== To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: http://birding-aus.org =============================== |
